Fresh Meat For the Blogroll
Back when I updated my Blogroll the last time, I promised I’d continue to update it every once in a while, adding 5 blogs at a time to give all my favourite bloggers their own moment to shine. Well, the time has come, and here are the next 5 blogs:
Evolving in Kansas – http://evolvinginkansas.blogspot.com/
This blog is a good cross section of politics, science, and plenty of humour. Written, as should be apparent, by a “Kansas writer” (Kansasian? Kansasite?). The topics range from localish Kansas stuff to stories of national and international importance. It’s all interesting, though.
Bad Science – http://www.badscience.net/
This is one of my favourite blogs. It’s written by Ben Goldacre, who writes the “Bad Science” column for the Guardian, a UK newspaper. The blog features his columns, along with “anything else [Ben] writes.” Goldacre thoroughly eviscerates all sorts of pseudoscience on the blog. Good times!
Thoughts From Kansas – http://scienceblogs.com/tfk/
I realize this is the second blog I’m adding that involves Kansas. It’s a coincidence, I tell you! TfK is written by Joshua Rosenau, a graduate of the University of Kansas. The blog is mainly concerned with evolution and politics. Highly recommended.
John Hawks weblog – http://johnhawks.net/weblog
This blog is written by John Hawks (unsurprisingly), an anthropologist at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. The blog covers a wide range of subjects relating to anthropology and evolution.
The World We Don’t Live In – http://eobasileus.blogspot.com/
Written by Emile a paleontology student in Beirut. My all-time favourite post here was a particularly harsh critique of a creationist Chick tract. I remember a Church in my hometown that had these! Needless to say, the treatment of the subject was fair and sensitive.

Keep ‘em comin’, dude!!
