Happy New Year!
It’s been 2009 here for about 1.5 hours, and so far, the year has turned out great! I’m a little tired from a rowdy Guitar Hero marathon earlier, but I thought I’d post and wish you all a great 2009!
For me, 2008 was an awesome year. I started eTrilobite.com in April, upgading from Blogspot. It was a bit of a rocky start, and hosting problems took the site offline early in the summer. I had to move to a new webhost, but soon I was back online, and it’s been (fairly) smooth sailing ever since.
I enrolled in University this fall, and the workload decreased my blogging time a lot, but the heart of eTrilobite.com, and my best accomplishment of 2008, was founding Walcott’s Quarry. Unless I’m mistaken, Walcott’s Quarry has never missed a week! I amuse myself a lot, and somehow I seem to amuse others as well! Looking ahead to 2009, I will keep Walcott’s Quarry going, and I hope to be able to devote more time to other content as well.
But leaving all problems aside, 2008 was a great year for blogging, and a great year for me! I would like to thank all my readers for bearing with me through the year. eTrilobite still has a fairly small readership, but it is growing, and I am constantly touched by how loyal my readers are!
I’d also like to send a shout-out to my fellow off-beat paleo-bloggers: Glendon Mellow at The Flying Trilobite and Craig Dylke/Traumador at The Tyrannosaur Chronicles/Weapon of Mass Imagination, who helped make 2008 a GREAT year to be doing something like… starting a comic about sentient trilobites during the Cambrian period!
Best wishes for the New Year!

All the best for 2009 Marek!
Happy New Year, dude!!
