I’ve been sneakily adding new features to my blog for the last couple of months. Some of you have all ready noticed a lot of things, but just in case some people haven’t, I thought I’d devote a post to them.
1. Facebook
I set up a Facebook group for eTrilobite.com a while ago (maybe a couple months), and a fair number have already joined it. If you haven’t join, use Facebook, and want to join, consider this an invitation! The link is the Facebook icon in the upper right hand corner of the blog.
2. Twitter
A lot of people use Twitter, but I suspect that those who don’t might be scratching there heads at it. I don’t want to explain the whole Twitter thing, which took me a while to figure out myself, but suffice to say that it’s a great way to make contact with me if you want to chat! Other awesome people like Carl Zimmer are also on Twitter. You can find my twitter profile by following the Twitter icon below the Facebook icon.
3. Entrecard
Entrecard is mostly a tool for bloggers to connect, and advertise on each others blogs. If you’re a blogger and want to advertise on my Entrecard widget or get in touch with me, you can join Entrecard and get that going.
4. Footnotes
I don’t think I’ve ever publicly used this on the blog, but I discovered a completely awesome WordPress plugin for citations. I eagerly await the day that I’ll actually have something to cite!1

Great minds think alike. I just discovered (today) the footnote tool in WordPerfect 8, vintage 1997, and I already have reason to use it. I think footnotes are wonderful!
