Declaration of Blog Independence

“… it becomes necessary for one blog to dissolve the bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the blogger, the separate and equal station to which the Internet and Blogosphere entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

I’ve just found out that it’s Blogroll Amnesty Day today.  Power to the People!  I’d actually never heard of this prestigious event until today, but now that I’m aware of it, I support it fully!  So, in the spirit of the event, I’m going to shine my blog’s weak spotlight on a few blogs which may or may not have less traffic than me.  The point is, none of them are mainstream 100-million-viewers-a-day blogs, and they deserve to be!

This is a blog about Complexity science, or in more mainsteam (and outdated) parlance, chaos theory.  It’s a great blog, and every once in a while it’s good to add something into my reading schedule that has nothing to do with paleontology!

100 Days of Science – http://anneminard.com/

Anne Minard has set herself a formidable goal – write 100 science posts in 100 days.  I sure hope you guys head over to her site and support this epic project!

Those are all for the moment.  If I can ferret out any more blogs, I’ll update this post.
